“I voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020, then chose not to vote in this last election. He lost my support on January 6. I remember watching that day unfold on TV and thinking it was an absolute disgrace to our great nation. Since that day, he has become exponentially more unhinged and seems hell-bent on destroying the foundations of our nation. What’s sad as well is the Republican party, the party I have supported in every election since turning 18, has been almost entirely hijacked by the MAGA party. It’s become so bad that I’m actually starting to agree more with Democrats on many issues. I’m agreeing more with universal healthcare, fighting climate change, eliminating student debt and making education free, and supporting abortion (I’m still not on board with allowing children to get sex changes or do hormone replacement).”
“Even though I agree with these things now, I still couldn’t vote Democrat. I’m still a supporter of strong borders, kicking out illegals (but providing opportunities to become citizens), and providing Israel with the tools they need to defend themselves, but I do believe the right has gone too far right, and the left is moving too far left as well to the point where I don’t feel like I can support either side. If it keeps moving this way, I don’t see how our nation will be able to survive.”
