On Thursday, news broke that Tommy Lee Jones’s daughter, Victoria, had suddenly died at 34.
According to CBS News, police responded to the Fairmont Hotel in Los Angeles at 3:15 a.m. for a report of a deceased person. Medics informed police that an adult woman was found dead at the scene and was subsequently identified as Victoria. While her cause of death is not currently known, a police source said foul play is not suspected.
“We are deeply saddened by an incident that occurred at the hotel on January 1, 2026,” the Fairmont hotel said in a statement shared with People. “Our heartfelt condolences are with the family and loved ones during this very difficult time.” The statement also said, “The hotel team is actively cooperating and supporting police authorities within the framework of the ongoing investigation.”
In a later statement shared with People, Tommy Lee thanked the public for the outpouring of support following Victoria’s death. “We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers,” his family said in the statement. “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
Tommy shared Victoria with his ex-wife, photographer Kimberlea Cloughley. The two were married from 1981 to 1996 and also share a son, Austin, 43.
Victoria would later become an actor herself, making her film debut in her father’s 2002 flick Men in Black II. She also appeared in 2005’s The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada and in an episode of One Tree Hill that same year. Her last on-screen appearance was in the 2014 western The Homesman, which was directed by Tommy Lee and starred Hilary Swank, before she appeared to step away from the industry.
