There's A 2.3% Chance Of An Asteroid Hitting Earth In 2032, And The Internet Has A Lot To Say About It

The Internet Is Reacting To That 2032 Possible Asteroid

The asteroid named “2024 YR4,” which is about the size of a football field, now has a 2.3% chance of hitting Earth in 2032. That’s up from 1.3%.

That little fact has hit the internet and people are reacting exactly how you’d imagine.

With doom, gloom, and also joy.

“Those are surprisingly good odds,” this person said.

“It’s got momentum,” another person chimed in.

“Excited to become Dino bone blankets,” this person (maybe) joked.

“Can it come sooner please,” another person pleaded.

On top of all of that, people are pointing out that 2032 is, in fact, an election year.

This person brought up Joey B: “Under Joe Biden we didn’t have any asteroids.”

And this account, which apparently reps the meteor, says, “My poll numbers keep climbing, and it is spectacular.”

I guess we’ll have to see what happens. It’s not like we have anywhere else to go!
