Hi. Hope your day is going well so far, but unfortunately, I have to ruin it really quickly with more bizarre political news.
Donald Trump did something weird again.
He’s recently been in his remodel era, and proving once and for all that money can’t buy taste.
They just unveiled plaques around the White House “Walk of Fame” that are…um, well, let’s just take a look, shall we?
Here’s what the first plaque, welcoming guests to this “Presidential Walk of Fame’ says:
The first plaque, welcoming guests to this “Presidential Walk of Fame,” which points out that it was “dedicated by President Donald J. Trump as a tribute to past Presidents, good, bad, and somewhere in the middle,” says:
Under a photo of former President Barack Obama, there are two plaques. The first one reads:
It continues onto a second plaque, saying:
Here’s a photo of the display.
Biden’s first plaque says:
Take a look at the full image here.
Trump has two entries in this walkway because of course he does. His current term is detailed as follows:
Detailing his first term, the plaques read:
That blurb finishes up by saying:
You can take a look at…all of that here.
Bill Clinton’s plaque says:
George W. Bush has one plaque that says:
There are also plaques for Richard Nixon (calling him “anti-Communist”), Lyndon B. Johnson, John F. Kennedy (whose death is referred to as “tragic”), Dwight D. Eisenhower, Jimmy Carter, and more. He included remarks about Ronald Reagan as well, claiming that Reagan was a fan of his, too.
Of course, people are disturbed by this new White House display. “They said that Harris was too emotional and unserious to be president,” one tweet reads.
“WAHHHH PEOPLE I DON’T LIKE WERE PRESIDENT I NEED TO WRITE 3 PARAGRAPHS UNDER EACH OF THEIR PORTRAITS ABOUT HOW BAD I THINK THEY WERE!!!!”
“The most insecure and immature idiots in America work for the Trump administration.”
“This is what happens when you elect a toddler with a Sharpie and a grudge: the White House becomes his personal tantrum wall. Petty, profane, and profoundly un-American. Tear them down.”
“He is such a sad, damaged person.”
“Country run simultaneously by nursing home patients and 12 year olds.”
“There is no surer sign of an insecure man than a desperate need to take down others. This is the work of a deeply unhealed person, ravaged by envy & self-doubt. And those who view this kind of immature contempt as a sign of strength are equally as unsatisfied with themselves.”
“They’ve turned the ‘people’s house’ into authoritarian partisan tacky propaganda. Imagine if Obama had… oh forget it.”
What’s your take on all of this? Let us know in the comments.
