Donald Trump appeared to flip off an autoworker and repeatedly tell him “fuck you” after the man called him a “pedophile protector” during a Ford Factory visit in Michigan on Tuesday.
The White House responded to the President’s actions by saying, “A lunatic was wildly screaming expletives in a complete fit of rage, and the President gave an appropriate and unambiguous response.”
As this viral tweet says, “The President of the United States flipping off an autoworker is a pretty good visual metaphor for this moment in history.”
Well, now we’re hearing from the autoworker himself.
40-year-old TJ Sabula told the Washington Post, “As far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever.”
He told the outlet that he’s worried he’ll be “targeted for “political retribution” for “embarrassing Trump in front of his friends,” but said, “I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity. And today I think I did that.”
Since then, Sabula has been suspended without pay, but a GoFundMe has been set up, and as of now, it has raised over $250,000.
