Remember when people used to criticize former vice presidents, such as Kamala Harris, asking what they actually accomplished during their time in office?
Well, I can tell you what the current vice president, JD Vance, is doing while in office. He’s getting involved in the already confusing beef between rappers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B with a viral X post.
If you didn’t know, Grammy Award-winning Cardi B and the “Beez in the Trap” rapper had a long-standing feud that reached a boiling point on X earlier this year. Regardless of who you’re rocking with, the insults between the artists were somewhat extreme from all sides.
On Dec. 10, the vice president replied to Nicki’s now-deleted post of a laughing Chucky with the caption “Vance > Rants,” seemingly comparing vice presidencies of Vance and Harris.
Vance followed suit and replied to the rapper’s post, “Nicki>Cardi,” and the internet is both extremely confused and embarrassed.
Everyone is basically saying the same thing about the vice president of the United States inserting himself in a frivolous rap beef, unprovoked.
“I cant believe this post is real… as a Vice President, a government official, why are you inserting yourself into a female rap feud?”
“the concept of presidential officials engaging in stan twitter beef.”
“usa is not real…mind you the vice president.”
“the vice president on twitter talking abt some Nicki vs Cardi…… This pretty much sums up the current timeline we are in-.”
“The concept of the vice president tweeting about celebrity beef when he needs to be figuring out why my five items at the grocery store is $60+.”
“JD Vance woke up, ignored the economy, ignored the border bill, ignored everything… just to tweet “Nicki > Cardi” like a 14-year-old Barb in 2018. This is your Vice President, America.”
But, wait. It doesn’t end there! On Dec. 11, Nicki reposted a similar tweet that read, “The Vance > The Gav Nots,” seemingly comparing the vice president to California’s governor Gavin Newsom.
The “Super Bass” rapper doubled down on her support for Vance, writing, “Nothing brings me joy like the Vance memes & knowing he leaned into it like a boss,” praising his character and sense of humor. “But make no mistake, Vance is an assassin. Don’t debate him. On anything. Quick as a computer. Maybe quicker. He’s the best blend I’ve ever seen of us&them.”
So, what does Cardi B think about all of this?
On Dec. 11, Cardi B shared an X post that read, “I’m sooo famous,” which apparently is a response to the now viral conversation surrounding her, Nicki, and the vice president.
There’s no telling where this could go from here. We’ll keep you posted if Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, or JD Vance responds.
