The House Voted To Denounce “The Horrors Of Socialism,” And Here’s Why People Are SO Fed Up

In a vote of 285–98, lawmakers passed H.Con.Res.58, or “Denouncing the horrors of socialism.” Ironically, it was on the same day that NYC mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, visited with President Donald Trump at the White House.

The resolution says that “socialism has repeatedly led to famine and mass murders, and the killing of over 100,000,000 people worldwide,” and mentions failures of socialist experiments in places like North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela.
