“I’m a pet sitter/dog walker. There is a lot of casual grossness, but a couple of gigs stand out. The client surprised me on the day with another dog, a puppy who wasn’t yet housebroken, and when I complained, they said, ‘You don’t even have to clean it, you can just leave it for me to take care of when I get home.’ The weirdest part was how clean their house was otherwise.”
“More recently, I had a booking with a new client, and was HIT IN THE FACE by the smell of cat piss when I went to check the litter box condition in the garage. I asked him where his litter scoop was, and he said he didn’t have one; he just let the box fill up and then threw it away. I freaked out a tad, and he had one delivered within the hour.”
