People Who Lost Their Mother Are Getting Honest About Their Grieving Experiences

16.

“My grieving journey has always felt as if it’s alive. Like I have a child no one else can see, constantly pulling on my hand.”

“Time does help, and so does trying to not judge yourself during the grief process. We all find our own ways to cope, and some may be less healthy than others. For the first year, I really struggled with bottling it up. The most important thing is to take care of yourself and your mental health.

My mom was a very creative person, who loved to write and do anything artistic. I recently started a podcast to try to honour her and still feel her presence with me.

Just know, the loss of your mom will always be one that stays with you, but as cheesy as it might sound, it also gives you a strength over time that you may have never expected.”
