People Are Sharing The Shocking Differences Between Living In A Red Vs. Blue-Leaning State

11.

“I’ve lived in 12 states in every part of the country, including Hawaii, but excluding Alaska, large cities (NY, SF, and Houston), and smaller cities, including college towns. Everyone seems to be commenting on politics and the cost of living, so here are some other differences. First, there’s the food. As the grub-rustler in my home, I’ve learned so much about the food and wine of different regions. Frankly, food in the Midwest is terrible, and some of the regional fare in Southern states is amazing. The culinary diversity of large cities in blue states is so enlightening.”

“Second, the culture and the arts. It is impossible to match the museums and high arts of large cities in blue states, but there are good orchestras and regional arts to enjoy everywhere. Lastly, over the many years, I’ve developed a basic understanding: there are positives and negatives everywhere one goes. If you focus on the good and respect the positives, and ignore or avoid the negatives, life can be good anywhere.”
