Never in my right mind would I ever think to associate Donald Trump and Pamela Anderson. Those two people just live in two completely separate parts of my brain (and the world…ya know, because she lives in Canada).
But if 2025 has taught me anything so far, it’s to expect the unexpected. Because we just got a wild story about Trump confirmed by Pamela Anderson herself, and I just need to laugh about it with someone.
Basically, on Jan. 31, Pamela was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! promoting her new movie, The Last Showgirl. She spoke about a ton of things (many of them Canadian, which I particularly enjoyed) — but IMHO, the most interesting part came at the end of the interview.
We’re all aware of the 51st State buzz — we’ve talked about it before — so of course, Jimmy asked Pam about it. “As a Canadian, are you excited about potentially becoming our 51st State, as President Trump has suggested?” Jimmy asked. “Is there a lot of enthusiasm about that?”
Pamela’s answer was pretty much on par with every Canadian I’ve seen — she laughed and said, “There’s no enthusiasm.” Straight-up, honest, and simple as that.
Then, Jimmy asked, “Is it true that Trump once paid you to come to his birthday party?” And IDK where he’s getting his intel, but I’m seriously impressed, because I had no clue that was even a rumour.
So here’s the backstory: Pamela started her modelling career as a Playboy Playmate in 1989. By 1990, she was named February’s Playmate of the Month, quickly becoming super iconic — and with that came lots of appearances, like Trump’s party. In her interview with Jimmy, Pamela went on to explain how much she was paid for these events, which is SHOCKING.
“When you’re a Playmate, they can give you $500 dollars a day to pretty much go anywhere,” she said. “So I was hired, I think at that time, for a birthday party, as far as I remember.”
Yep, you read that right. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. You might not think that’s a lot, but considering it’s just for one party, it’s actually a pretty big amount in my eyes.
“How sad that he has to hire people to come to his birthday,” Jimmy joked, to which Pamela laughed.
“I think it was his birthday, yeah,” she continued. “Something to do with him. It was a long time ago.” Pamela previously said it happened in 2005, according to The Independent.
Anyway, with all the stressful political convos going on, I thought that was a funny little anecdote — a story I never thought I’d hear in my life. Because IDK about you, but this stuff is way more entertaining to me than tariff negotiations (I’m sorry for bringing it up).
What are your thoughts on Trump supposedly hiring Pamela Anderson for his birthday party back in the day? Tell me in the comments below.
