This summer, the pair appeared flirty and close while promoting their movie, The Naked Gun. Some reports claimed that they were indeed in a relationship, while others suggested that it was for PR (which Pamela denied).
Now, Pamela is setting the record straight as part of her People cover story. She said, “If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming.”
That “short while” post-filming (around June 2024) included an “intimate week” at his house in upstate New York, where she said she had her own room and “even family stopped by.” As well as gardening together, she said they “went to dinner at a tiny French restaurant where he introduced me as the ‘future Mrs. Neeson.”
However, after their “romantic lost week,” Pamela said, “We went our separate ways to work on other films.” It was this summer that they reunited while promoting the movie, where they “were having fun.” Pam added, “I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings.’”
Alas, the pair last saw each other in August, when Liam supported Pamela in a play she was doing. “I adore Liam,” she said, “but we are better friends, in full honesty…He is such a supporter of this new trajectory in my career and kindly tells me he is very proud of me.”
