It’s no secret… I love words. Growing up, I read the dictionary like a novel. I kept it under my bed and everything. I memorized alphabets in different languages. And I’d even race my dad to spell “antidisestablishmentarianism.” And yet…I still mess up the placement of “ei” or “ie” in a lot of words. And grammar isn’t always my strongsuit. But hey, we all have our weaknesses.
Whether you’re a word nerd like me or can barely spell your own name, it’s time to test your vocabulary. Here’s how it works: I’ll show you a reallyyy long word, and you have to define it. Sounds easy…but is it? Time to find out…
How’d you do? Drop your score in the comments, and while you’re at it, tell me… What’s the longest word you actually know? But please, don’t give me that wild word that takes three hours to say. You know, the chemical name for the protein titin. Yup, the one with 189,819 letters. (I’m not lying!) When written out, it stretches over 100 pages — so yeah, the comment box will definitely let you down if you try to write that one out.
