Brief recap: Earlier this month, rumors emerged that Millie had allegedly filed a “harassment and bullying claim” against David ahead of filming Stranger Things‘ final season — and that the claim allegedly included “pages and pages of allegations.”
Now, you probably know that the first part of the final season of Stranger Things premiered over the weekend — and as the press tour behind it has continued, so has Millie increasingly speaking more about her working relationship with David. Earlier this week, she said in an interview that the professional pair “value our friendship more than anything.”
Now, in a new interview with Deadline, Millie has seemingly addressed the allegations as directly as she has to date — specifically speaking on notions of whether or not she felt safe working with David.
“Of course I felt safe,” she replied. “I mean, we’ve worked together for 10 years. I feel safe with everyone on that set. You naturally just, you know…you’ve been doing it for so long.”
“We also play father and daughter, so naturally you have a closer bond than the rest, because we have had some really intense scenes together, especially in Season 2.”
Millie went on to say that she has a “great relationship” with David. “We work really closely together in the scenes and in preparing for the scenes,” she said. “And I really am excited for everyone to see the labor of love, and hard work we put into the closure of our relationship, and what that looks like.”
“And to give some of the fans, especially the Hopper and Eleven fans, those scenes that I feel, I think are gonna be quite impactful. But I love it. It makes me wanna bring my A-game every single time I see that I’m on the call sheet working with him because I know he’s bringing it right back.”
Well, there you have it. Seems like we won’t hear anything more about this particular story for a while, but who knows.
