The singer has been dating drummer and producer Maxx Morando for four years. The pair first met on a blind date in 2021, over a year after her divorce from Liam Hemsworth was finalized.
Miley has been spotted with a ring on that finger for a couple of weeks now, but rumors of their engagement escalated after the couple attended the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere last night. Page Six was first to break the news of their engagement, which was then confirmed by numerous outlets.
As per People, the ring is a “bespoke” design by Jacquie Aiche, featuring a cushion-cut stone on 14-karat yellow gold.
At the risk of bringing up old drama, Miley said in 2016 that she didn’t actually like her engagement ring at the time as it “isn’t really [her] aesthetic,” but she wore it as a sign of love. Hopefully, this time it’s a little better!
This summer, Miley joked that she was the “cougar” in their relationship, given their five-year age gap. She further said that she’s a fan of his star sign: “He’s a Scorpio and so is his grandfather, that’s what makes Maxx just so cool because he can sting. Like, [Scorpios are] very cool, think that they’re little angels, until it turns around and they got a sting. I couldn’t be with someone [who] doesn’t sting…They would have been toast already.”
