“I had a sneaking suspicion that my ex was emotionally cheating or cyber cheating; I consider this cheating because of how it ended up — he married her and brought her over. I was led to believe a different timeline, but I always had a sneaking suspicion that it was a lot longer. I didn’t find this out from him; that would have been the kind thing to do, and that’s not him since he doesn’t truly care about anyone else but himself. I didn’t find it out from digging up dirty laundry, but rather, my son who innocently was just talking to me.”
“It wasn’t probed or even remotely asked because I didn’t care enough, but he just says when they met, which, according to my math, puts it while we were married and not long after we had our son. Who knows if she was the only one, though, or if he didn’t actually cheat before that? It changed everything that I thought I knew. The hardest part is that he always accused me of being paranoid and other verbally abusive things, but this just proved the whole time that I was right, but trying to rewire my mind to not think so negatively about myself or the things he made me believe about myself was the hardest thing.”
