While Bella Ramsey is certainly having a moment thanks to their leading performance in the hit TV series The Last Of Us, this is far from their first rodeo when it comes to starring in a popular show.
After all, Bella was just 11 years old when they got their big break playing Lyanna Mormont in the fantasy phenomenon Game Of Thrones, which they had a recurring role in for seasons 6 to 8.
And the star recently reunited with their former GoT costar Kit Harington in a conversation for Interview magazine, where Bella confessed that they had “remorse” for their “annoying” behavior on set.
Speaking to Kit, Bella recalled the time they realized he had forgotten his lines while shooting a scene, and they opted to prompt him in front of the entire cast and crew. They said: “I don’t know whether you remember this, but I remember it quite vividly and have some remorse for it now, but during that scene I was mouthing your lines to you.”
“Now I’m like: ‘Oh my gosh, how awful,’” Bella went on to admit. “But at the time it came from a very innocent place of being like: ‘Kit’s struggling with his line and I know it, so let me just mouth it to him.’”
“I do remember you helping me out and it being quite humiliating,” Kit confessed. “But yeah, thanks for that. I’ve probably chosen to forget it.”
The two also reflected on the first time they met on the set of Thrones, with Bella saying: “I would’ve been 11 when we first met. It was my first job ever, so I had no reference point for what it would be like. I weirdly wasn’t nervous at all, because I never knew that I wanted to be an actor, so I didn’t have a bunch of expectations. I was coming into it very much blind.”
Bella also revealed that they took inspiration from Kit regarding how he navigated fame during the time they worked together. They recalled: “Something that I meant to talk to you about was that I remember you not having social media, and admired that so much and thought you were the coolest person to ever walk the earth. I was like: ‘I don’t want to get social media, because Kit doesn’t have it.’”
Over the years, Kit has been incredibly open about struggling to cope with his astronomical rise to fame on Game of Thrones, and when the show ended in 2019, he checked into a wellness retreat to help overcome his alcohol addiction and suicidal ideation.
