“As a teacher who has to deal with 12-year-olds who can’t read and write, they need homework! And the parents need to be right there, making sure it gets done which gives them the individualized one on one help that they can’t receive during school,” one comment read.
“Sounds like the Parent/s will not know what the kid/s learned, like how will it review what the kid/s are learning,” said another.
One more person added, “Homework is for the Parent to make sure that the Student is learning the lesson in the classroom. When you go home the Student is suppose to Study for the quiz the next day. To assure that he/she can pass the class in order to move on to the next level. Having conversations like this proves that the family house may or may not care about the child’s education or how they are learning.”
