We all know by now that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have recently broken up after more than 9 years together. Well, if you’ve been wondering what Katy has been up to since their split, BOY, do I have an update for you.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that Katy was spotted dining at a “swanky restaurant in Montreal” with none other than Justin Trudeau. Yes, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau!!! With Katy Perry!!!
In case you’re unaware, Trudeau served as Canada’s leader from 2015 until earlier this year, when he stepped down. He was married to former TV host Sophie Grégoire for 18 years, and they announced their separation in August 2023. So I guess that’s one thing he and Katy have in common: recently out of long-term relationships.
According to TMZ’s source, it looked like Katy (age 40) was having a “thoughtful conversation” with Justin (age 53). They allegedly “sipped cocktails and shared several dishes” during their dinner. The chef at the restaurant has since clarified that there was no PDA and it all looked friendly, but Justin did pick up the tab.
Katy is now on the Canadian leg of her “Lifetimes” world tour, so it makes sense why she was in Canada — but she likely had to take a ‘lil detour to make her visit in Montreal happen when it did. You see, she saw Justin in Montreal on July 28, then went to Ottawa for her concert on July 29, and will be going back to Montreal again for a show on July 30. So was it just a fun outing between friends, or something more? Your guess is as good as mine!
