A few months ago, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom split up after more than 9 years together. And although we haven’t heard much about Orlando’s dating life since the split, boy, do we have an update for you about Katy.
Enter ex-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. He served as Canada’s Prime Minister for 10 years, from 2015 until January of this year. And notably, he split up with his wife of 18 years, former TV host Sophie Grégoire, in 2023.
You might recall that a few months ago, Katy (age 40) and Justin (age 53) were spotted having dinner together in Montreal during her Lifetimes Tour run in Canada. Nothing was confirmed at the time, but we were all eyeing these two together, because, well…It kinda made sense. Fancy restaurant? Sharing dishes? Justin picking up the tab? Smells like a date to me.
Shortly after, a source told People that it was a “first get-to-know-you date,” but that “dating just isn’t on [Katy’s] radar.” “She’s stayed in touch with Justin, but there are no current plans for another meet-up,” the source said.
Well, I guess Katy and Justin ended up making some plans! Because on Oct. 11, Daily Mail published some new photos of the two of them — this time, they’re standing on a yacht, having a pretty steamy makeout sesh! In the pics, Justin is shirtless (which is, um, not a look we’re used to seeing our ex-PM in), and Katy is in a bathing suit. And his hand appears to be, uh, on her *bum* in one of the photos.
According to Daily Mail, this happened in late September. “She pulled up her boat next to a small public whale-watching boat, then they started making out,” a source told the publication. So are they dating? It looks like they might be! At the very least, they’re having fun together. (Um…yeah, let’s leave it at that.)
And although I can only link to the photos in this post, I CAN recap what the internet is saying, which is arguably more entertaining than the photos themselves. People have (rightfully) lost their chill…because this was simply on no one’s bingo card this year.
