If you’ve paid any attention to Justin and Hailey Bieber, you’ve probably seen the ongoing discourse surrounding his perceived treatment of Hailey. Things like his lack of effort getting dressed for her events, his “embarrassing” Instagram posts, and his behavior toward other celebrities by comparison have all made headlines — giving rise to widespread internet theories that Justin secretly “hates” her.
Hailey appeared to hit back at that narrative earlier this year, resharing a message on Instagram that said “most of the time” the information people see is “wrong.” Justin also shut the rumors down with loving lyrics about Hailey on his 2025 album, Swag. But unfortunately, they haven’t beaten the allegations.
The latest moment fueling the conversation happened on Thursday as Justin and Hailey arrived at the GQ Men of the Year Awards.
A video with tens of thousands of views across X, Reddit, and TikTok shows Justin and Hailey’s vehicle just after it arrived at the event. A man hops out first, followed by Justin — who quickly bolts past the paparazzi’s flashing cameras. Someone else then exits before Hailey finally emerges from the backseat.
Hailey, dressed in a sheer gown with a plunging neckline and open back, visibly struggles to keep the front of the dress in place as she makes her way out of the truck. She places a hand over her chest for more coverage while carefully scooting out, then keeps it there as she adjusts the back of the dress while heading inside alone.
Unsurprisingly, the video went viral, with many sharing anger at Justin for leaving Hailey behind.
One person on Reddit wrote, “This sucks to look at, like it just comes off so disrespectful and weird.”
People were especially upset that Hailey was seated in the back.
One person couldn’t believe she had to “climb into the back in that dress!”
Another wrote, “bro walk with your wife.”
“Give her your hand getting out of the car. Walk with her,” someone said, as another commenter called Justin’s actions “rude as fuck!”
“He doesn’t even help her out of the vehicle,” one person said. “I get you’re a celebrity and there’s tons of paparazzi, but would it kill to even acknowledge your wife?”
“This is so embarrassing for him,” another added. “Be a man! HElp your wife! Hold her hand! Wear a fucking shirt! It’s NOVEMBER!Watching these 30 yr old men flee the car with suckers and cans just makes me really understand why so many men are lonely and can’t find a relationship. Who wants this? Not a smart woman! My husband would never act this way.”
“Isn’t she tired of the embarrassment?” someone wondered. “I know I sure am.” Another shared, “Ladies, we all really could do better.”
And finally, one more added, “May this kind of love never find me.”
