From 1989 to 1999, Disney Animation Studios released ten movies that came to be part of the “Disney Renaissance.” This period of time marked Disney’s return to releasing commercially and critically acclaimed movies — as they did from 1930 to 1969 — that people have now loved for generations.
The movies during this period were The Little Mermaid, The Rescuers Down Under, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, and Tarzan.
