Without attending or even being nominated, Tom Holland and Zendaya managed to be two of the most talked about celebs off the back of this year’s Actor Awards — and we’ve got Law Roach to thank.
As I’m sure you know, Law is Zendaya’s longtime stylist and one of her closest collaborators. And on last night’s red carpet, he casually revealed that Tom and Zendaya are married. (!!!!!!???!!!!!)
After Access Hollywood asked if he could share anything about Zendaya’s upcoming wedding look, Law cheekily replied: “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.”
The reporter was understandably shocked, saying, “Is that true?” And Law responded with a telling cackle, “It’s very true. Yeah.”
As you’d expect, Law’s claim has sparked a lot of excitement online. But it’s also prompted people to question his decision to share such a huge piece of information with the world.
These are certainly valid remarks, but let’s think about the context here…
For starters, Law and Zendaya don’t have a regular client/stylist relationship. Law has been dressing Zendaya since she was 14, meaning they’ve been working together for more than half her life. And from what they’ve said about each other, I think it’s fair to assume that they see each other as family, not colleagues.
On top of that, Tom and Zendaya are also one of the most private A-list couples I can think of, so it was never going to be the case that they announced their marriage themselves with a ton of glossy pictures and a load of public fanfare. (As much as we’d have loved that!)
History would even suggest that it’s their preference to have their relationship updates shared with the public by their inner circle. For example, when speculation began swirling that Tom and Zendaya were engaged in January 2025, it was Tom’s dad, Dominic, who eventually confirmed the milestone via a Patreon post.
Then, a few months later, in May 2025, it was memorably Law who gave some updates on the wedding and managed fans’ expectations, saying during a podcast interview: “It will probably be a wedding dress that no one will ever see.”
“They try to be as private as possible, so like, there won’t be a Vogue spread, or there won’t be, you know, pictures of the wedding,” he continued. “The people that she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy.”
With all this in mind, I think we can probably assume that Law’s red carpet revelation was agreed in advance to ensure that Tom and Zendaya’s husband-and-wife rollout wouldn’t cause too much chaos for the notoriously private pair. Notably, they will both be back in the spotlight this year to promote numerous major projects, both together and separately.
In this TikTok comments section of Law’s red carpet interview, a lot of fans are in agreement with this theory, too.
Of course, we can’t know for sure, but I trust Law’s judgement — not just in picking out killer gowns, but knowing when and how to spill the tea.
So, I predict that in a few weeks’ time, when Zendaya resurfaces to start promoting The Drama, her new movie with Robert Pattinson, she will casually refer to Tom as her husband during an interview, and the timing of Law’s comments will make complete sense.
Until then, we’ll just have to wait and see!
