My love of anime is pretty well-known, and like many of my fellow nerds, Dragon Ball Z was my gateway to a lifelong appreciation for the overpowered hero trope. There was nothing quite like racing home from the bus stop in the afternoons and wrestling my sister for the TV remote to see if Goku finally beat Frieza. I love a good fight scene, but DBZ is one of the few shows that I genuinely enjoy watching the filler because the characters are so hilarious. Hot take: Bulma is the real main character, and no, I won’t elaborate.
