“So I actually thought about this and thought, ‘Yeah, that could be legit but checkable,’ and by all regards, you put ‘Almost a third of all microplastics are from car tires’ into google and it seems like a fairly accurate number (approx. 28-33% depending on location). Rubber tyres IMO seem wildly outdated, are major pollution items to create and dispose of, and obviously would slough off microparticles at a phenomenal rate. But you are asking someone to literally reinvent the wheel.”
