You might also know that Disney has reportedly scaled back promotion of the film when it comes to its red carpet premiere. Trade publications have regularly — and, disingenuously, I might add — gestured towards supposed “controversies” surrounding Rachel and Gal leading up to the film’s release.
Long story short, no one really knows what’s going on (outside of Disney themselves) when it comes to Snow White — but a new report from People has shed more light on Gal and Rachel’s alleged relationship.
A source tells the publication that Rachel “has nothing in common with Gal Gadot, a mom of four kids. On top of that, their political views differ, adding to the tension.”
A source also addressed the fact that Rachel recently did press for Snow White in Spain, while Gal was absent. Allegedly, Gal was “never supposed to be in Spain” — and it apparently had nothing to do with how they feel about each other.
“This isn’t like a ‘stay away from me’ situation,” they added. “They were at the Oscars together. They’ll be together this weekend.”
A third source pointed out that the pair “have a huge age gap and very different political views” — and that Gal herself is apparently not pleased with all the speculation.
“Gal is annoyed by the movie drama,” the source alleges. “She enjoyed filming. She was fine with Rachel but they are not friends. They have nothing in common…They did a job together and that’s it.”
