Let’s get one thing clear: Eva Mendes did not move to the UK.
That’s what she wants people to know, as reports continue to claim that she relocated to London last year with her longtime partner, Ryan Gosling.
The rumors started in October, when the Daily Mail published pictures of Eva in London and alleged that she and Ryan had joined the growing list of celebrities leaving the US due to what the outlet described as an “unstable” political climate. The report claimed that the couple, who share daughters Esmeralda, 11, and Amada, 9, had purchased a home “in the affluent north London area of Hampstead” and were “settling into their new posh, high-end neighborhood.”
But Eva quickly shut that down.
Taking to her Instagram Story at the time, Eva wrote, “WRONG again @dailymail. Although I love my time in London, I can’t wait to get back home and celebrate the @dodgers World Series championship! Go Dodgers!!!”
Still, the rumors haven’t stopped. Multiple outlets recently focused on an Instagram video Eva posted of herself playing outside with her two dogs, framing it as a rare look inside of her and Ryan’s supposed new life in the UK.
Once again, Eva insisted that’s not true.
Posting screenshots of multiple headlines about her rumored “life in the UK,” Eva wrote, “LIES.”
“I mean, why?” she added. “Why just continue to LIE when I have said multiple times we have not moved out of the US. Just blatant LIES.”
While the two may not have relocated, Ryan has reportedly been spending time in the UK filming the new Star Wars movie, Star Wars: Starfighter. According to IMDb, filming locations include London, England, and Sardinia, Italy. The film is slated for release in May 2027.
So maybe that explains it.
