Elon Musk Is Having A Little Pity Party On X, And People Are DRAGGING Him For It

Internet Drags Musk For Attention-Seeking Post On X

For a little context, a regular person would have to work 28 1/2 hours at $25/hour to make what Elon makes passively in one second. (And as a note, $25 is far more than minimum wage in most of the United States.)

But even with all that money, it seems like things may not all be copacetic in Elon’s world right now.

To be fair, he’s probably had a rough couple of years. He had a friend breakup (and then got back together) with a special pal.

And there’s also, you know, this:

But still, over on X, Elon needed the world to know that he’s not having a great time right now. “Whoever said ‘money can’t buy happiness’ really knew what they were talking about,” he posted this week.

Real quick, just wondering if the person who first said that old adage could’ve even conceptualized $800 billion…

Unsurprisingly, people went HARD in the replies. “We don’t feel bad for you. Not one of us,” one person said.

“Does anyone sell subatomic sized violins?”

“Whoever said ‘Money can’t buy happiness’ couldn’t afford a platform and a yacht to cry on. So boo-hoo.”

“Money can’t buy happiness, but I’m gonna hoard it all anyway! The world’s richest victim.”

“If I had one tenth of your money I’d spend every day all day helping people and I’d be the happiest person on earth.”

Even fellow billionaire Mark Cuban weighed in. “If you were happy when you were poor, you will be insanely happy if you get rich. If you were miserable, you will stay miserable, just with a lot less financial stress.”

And finally, this person summed up folks’ frustration pretty well. “Money can improve others lives, alleviate poverty, ensure people are fed and the result of that is a feeling of doing good in the world and seeing people thrive, which must in turn make the person facilitating that feel happier overall.”

So now I’d love to know: could $800 billion buy you happiness? I think I could make do with a lot less, personally. Let us know in the comments.
