Demi Moore’s Daughters Made Some Super Rare Comments About Their Ex-Stepdad, Ashton Kutcher

Tallulah And Scout Willis Comment On Ex-Stepdad Ashton Kutcher

Throughout Demi and Ashton’s highly publicized marriage, the Punk’d star was seen out with stepdaughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah on many occasions. In fact, one of his and Demi’s first major public appearances with the kids was at the 2003 premiere of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, where they stepped out as a blended family with Bruce in attendance, too.

At the time, Ashton and Demi’s 15-year age gap was a huge talking point — notably, he’s less than 10 years older than Rumer. And in the years since Ashton and Demi’s split, the girls have talked about the complicated emotions that came with their mom’s controversial relationship.

Despite the marriage being shaken by Ashton’s cheating scandal — which he has since described as “humiliating and embarrassing” — the girls haven’t ever publicly blasted their former stepdad. And now, Tallulah and Scout have made it clear there’s definitely no bad blood.

On Wednesday, Gwyneth Paltrow shared an Instagram post promoting her latest podcast episode, which was all about blended families and stepparenthood. And in the comments section, Tallulah weighed in on what an important topic it is, writing: “I have a lot to say on this! Especially how to move through an ex- step parent ❤️❤️.”

Another commenter asked if she was referring to Ashton, to which she replied: “This maybe should have been a private message lol but yes I have personal experience with this,” and later added, “It’s an important conversation tbh ☀️… also. No one needs to be bad guy for a situation to be healed. there’s room for everyone.”

And as Tallulah’s comments about stepparents have gained attention online, her older sister Scout has also weighed in on the discussion. When asked about Tallulah’s statements during a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Scout agreed that no one has to be the “bad guy.”

“I don’t think so. That’s not the way I hold it [or the way] my mom holds it,” she said. “My parents divorced when I was young, and it’s always been handled with absolute grace and love, and I think that really is the way forward for everything — putting the children first and handling everything with a lot of mutual respect.”

Ashton has been similarly kind and respectful regarding his former stepchildren, saying during a 2020 episode of Marc Maron’s WTF podcast that he makes a “conscious effort to stay in touch” with Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.

“Tallulah was 8 or 9, she was the youngest. Rumer was 12 or 13 when we first started dating. When we were getting divorced, Tallulah was graduating high school,” he recalled. “I was helping raise teenage girls through their adolescence. I love them. I’m never going to stop loving them and respecting them and honoring them and rooting for them to be successful in whatever they are pursuing.”

No drama to see here, folks!
