Reacting to the episode online, some fans were divided over Dax’s comments about his ex as they reacted to Kristen’s initial discomfort with the friendship.

“I don’t necessarily think this is a model for everyone to follow,” one Reddit user said, while another echoed, “I don’t think that if my husband mentioned his ex even 1/4 of the amount of time Dax does, he would be my husband anymore.”

On the flip side, several people argued that Dax and Breigh’s friendship was an example of a “healthy breakup.”

“Kristen isn’t threatened by her. This is someone he was with for around a decade and it didn’t end badly where there was any hate. There’s kind of a familial bond knowing someone that long,” one comment read.
