“Daredevil: Born Again”: Meet The Cast And Characters From The New Marvel TV Series

Hector Ayala is a Puerto Rican ex-Army vigilante caught up in the growing tensions between law enforcement, Fisk’s mayoral agenda, and vigilantism. After intervening in an instance of police brutality on a subway platform that led to one of the officers accidentally falling onto the tracks, Ayala was arrested and wrongfully labeled a cop-killer. After hearing him get roughed up in custody, Matt takes on Hector’s case. Cherry, Matt, and Kirsten learn that Hector is the vigilante White Tiger.

In the comics, Hector Ayala finds the tiger amulets that, when worn together, transform him into the superhuman White Tiger. In the comics, Hector is also wrongfully accused of murder, and Matt represents him.
