In a month, I’ll be 30 — a whole new decade. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little scared, because the truth is I sometimes feel like I “wasted” my 20s (and yes, the pandemic absolutely takes some of the blame). So my friend and my therapist suggested something that was surprisingly helpful: instead of spiraling about what I didn’t do, I made a list of what I did do in my 20s. Big things, small things, random things. It helped me see my life a lot more clearly. With help from my friends and the internet, I turned that idea into a comprehensive 20s checklist for you, too.
Mind you, there is nothing wrong if you haven’t checked off any of these. You did not “fail” your 20s. This is just a fun guide and a little reminder that life is worth living (in Justin Bieber’s voice). So live a little. Get out there!!!!
How’d you do? Are you out here living, or do you suddenly feel inspired to make plans? Either way, drop your score in the comments and tell me which one you still need to do.
