During a recent appearance on the Walking the Dog podcast, the show’s host Emily Dean said that Charlotte smelled “lovely” — and her response to the compliment was, well, extremely surprising. “Do I? That’s surprising — I never smell nice,” she said.
“I don’t wear deodorant or anything, so I generally stink,” she added, explaining that she made the decision at least “18 months ago” in regards to the alleged chemical makeup of deodorant itself.
“I just started thinking like, ‘This underarm area, there’s so many receptors there, lymph and all sorts of stuff going on there,'” she explained. “I’m just not sure about putting all this chemical stuff in your pores, because your skin is the largest organ in the body.”
“I don’t shave anymore,” she added at another point in the conversation. “I don’t shave anything. When did I stop? I probably stopped shaving 18 months ago, maybe even longer than that. Maybe two years?”
“Each to their own,” she added. “Do you know what I mean? Crack on and have a lovely time and do whatever feels good — dye it, shave it, whatever — but for me I’m just like, ‘Nah!'”
