That’s right — no more fiddling with chaotic lists in your Notes app. Let us do the work for you so you can focus on cooking. Just tap on the recipe you want to make, like our mega popular Ratatouille.
Then choose the number of servings you’ll be making and click “Add Ingredients to My Cart” so that our ~very fancy~ system can calculate exactly how much of each ingredient you’ll need and give you a rough price estimate.
Once you’re prompted to select a store, choose Instacart, and enter your zip code or enable location services for a list of grocery stores near you.
Choose whichever you want: the budget-friendly option, the health food store, the all-organic-treat-yourself splurge — the best part is that the choice is all yours.
Here’s where you can customize things even further: simply select or deselect the ingredients based on what you need. Already have a stockpile of garlic and onions? Have a zucchini that’s been neglected in the back of your fridge? Deselect them!
Our shopping tool even recognizes what pantry staples you’ll need for a recipe and lets you select whatever you might be out of. Because there’s nothing worse than having everything chopped and prepped only to realize that you’re out of olive oil. Once you’ve made all your selections, just click “Add Ingredients to My Cart” at the bottom.
Once they’re in your cart, you can swap whatever ingredients you want, depending on your store’s availability.
So whether you’re loyal to a certain brand of crushed tomatoes or are picky about the variety of eggplant you like, we’ll give you several options.
After making your picks, click “Check Out” and you’ll be redirected to Instacart, where you can sign in, make any last-minute adjustments, and finalize your order.
