If you’re the type to lurk around the corners of digital gossip, you might have seen some photos of Austin and Emily Ratajkowski hanging out in NYC earlier this fall. This, naturally, led to some speculation that the two may be dating.
Now, it’s kinda rare for celebrities — let alone actors of Austin’s stature — to give even the slightest crumb of comment towards stuff like this. But! As it turns out, Austin’s not your typical celeb-slash-actor, as he very bluntly addressed the rumors in a new interview with Vanity Fair.
“The true answer is that I have a lot of friends and we’re friends and we had dinner, and that we’re friends,” he said about his status with Emily. I mean, fair enough!
Austin also said that he “just wanted to hide” when it came to the scrutiny around his potential relationship status — which, yeah, that makes sense too. Being famous ain’t all it’s cracked up to be!
