Things haven’t been so hot between the US and Canada since Donald Trump took office.
I mean, you have Canadians booing the American National Anthem. Wild times!
It’s making people, specifically Americans (duh), emotional.
“As an American…I need that hug tbh,” one person said.
A bunch of people were surprised by the ending.
“I thought we were going to get made fun of, I’m crying instead.”
Other people were shocked that the receptionist didn’t go off on the American for NOT speaking French.
“I have to admit, I thought she would freak out on him because he doesn’t speak French. I wasn’t expecting the happy ending.”
Then you have people mocking Americans for always being overly specific about exactly where they’re from.
“Except a real American would tell you the name of their town with a population of 25k and expect you to know it.”
And finalllly, you have the people wishing they could have a Canadian hug right now.
“Hey. As an American, I wanna hug a Canadian rn bro I’m scared.”
