After Her Divorce From Brad Pitt Was Finally Settled, There’s An Update On Angelina’s Plans To Leave LA

The actor, who was born and raised in LA, explained that she deemed Hollywood to be “shallow” and “not a healthy place.” She told Wall Street Journal, “Because I grew up around Hollywood, I was never very impressed with it. I never bought into it as significant or important.”

“I grew up in quite a shallow place. Of all the places in the world, Hollywood is not a healthy place. So you seek authenticity,” she added, before clarifying that she hoped to move out of LA after her divorce from Brad Pitt was finalized, noting that she “lost the ability to live and travel as freely” amid the split.

Of course, Angelina and Brad — who separated at the end of 2016 after about nine years together — went through an incredibly extensive and contentious legal battle before finally reaching a divorce settlement last December.

Now, People reports that Angelina is preparing to put her LA house up for sale and is considering moving abroad.

According to the outlet, an insider claimed that Angelina “never wanted to live in LA full time,” but had no choice because of her and Brad’s custody arrangement of their kids. The exes share six children: Maddox, 24, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and Knox and Vivienne, 17.

The source purportedly told People that Angelina now plans to relocate “as soon as” Knox and Vivienne turn 18. “She’s eyeing several locations abroad. She’ll be very happy when she’s able to leave Los Angeles,” the insider added.
