52 Photos That Scream “‘MURICA” In The Worst Possible Way

52 Photos That Scream “‘MURICA”

1.

We get closer to a dictatorship every day.

2.

I wish I was surprised at this.

3.

What happened to free speech in this country?

4.

God forbid your kid doesn’t consume media for a half hour.

5.

I’m actually surprised gun-obsessors haven’t started using school shootings to advertise guns with the way things are going.

6.

The homeland?? Did we not steal this land?

7.

Tell me again how we can’t have student loan forgiveness? But we can for the new gestapo?

8.

Who thought this tagline was a good idea? I mean, they’re right, but there’s no need for a corporation to rub it in.

9.

What is it with brands and using economic insecurity as a cute tagline?

10.

This might be the most American thing I’ve seen in a while. Person working for the gig economy to make ends meet? Check. Active shooter? Check. Risking your life because you need the money? Check.

12.

This shouldn’t need to exist.

14.

And this is why I hate smart electronics. Why does everything need to be about influencing you to buy things?

15.

Seriously. I’m so tired of every company trying to monetize every single second of our free time.

16.

Monetizing attention — and injecting advertising into EVERYTHING — starts young.

17.

US infrastructure really can’t be beat. This is the NYC subway every time it pours. And yet they keep increasing the fare.

18.

Hmmm, I wonder, is there any other solution to gun violence?

19.

Oh, that’s right! Rocks, that’s what I was thinking of!

20.

We don’t even have the right to our own face anymore.

21.

As if scrambling to afford basic shelter wasn’t enough, now there’s public shaming involved.

22.

Yeah, this is not wholesome. You should get paid leave after a parent dies, and you should get way more than 2.5 days. But welcome to America, I guess.

23.

Can’t afford gas to get to work? Just put it on Afterpay and end up in an endless cycle of small payments for every single basic necessity in life!

24.

What’s really fun is that going to the doctor costs money (even with insurance, which I doubt this company offers for part-time workers), meaning you have to spend money on top of losing out on the money of your shift, as this suggests you do not get paid sick time. And if you’re too sick to make it to the doctor, or you can’t afford it, you could get fired. Oh, and don’t forget that health insurance is tied to employment, so if by chance this job DID provide health insurance, you’ll lose it, and going to the doctor will become MORE expensive!

26.

Health insurance in the US will do anything to not cover the healthcare YOU PAY IT TO COVER.

27.

HOW is just the room you stay in at the hospital over $21k for three days???

28.

This person had it even worse for less time.

29.

I hate tipping culture in America as much as the next person, but to forbid a worker from receiving tips just feels cruel.

30.

This is the bad place.

31.

Sums up employment in America.

32.

No medication should cost this much, even before insurance.

33.

Remember: all Kimmel said was that MAGA-ers are trying to make it seem as if the shooter was unconnected to MAGA ideology.

34.

This is where we’re at now.

35.

I really, really hope this is a joke, but with the way things are going, it might not be.

36.

People can barely afford stuff as it is. Maybe corporations should pay their workers more in the first place?

37.

Is this not illegal???

40.

Not everything needs to use AI.

41.

This is why people are risking their lives to drive themselves or get an uber to the hospital.

42.

As if dating wasn’t hard enough.

43.

Whether this was for Charlie Kirk or 9/11 (it was posted on 9/14), it feels aggressively American to me. Why is a brand publicly mourning?

44.

Maybe the people of Arkansas should’ve voted for another candidate instead of praying…just an idea.

45.

God bless our police, America’s protectors!

46.

America’s police force DEFINITELY isn’t infested with power-tripping, gun-obsessed jerks who peaked in high school!

47.

In America, your employers truly care about you in a crisis.

48.

People are in need of food, and corporations are doing this.

49.

Amazon’s ubiquity, packaging waste, consumerism…that’s America for you.

51.

How are people supposed to live (and pay off student debts) like this?

52.

And finally, this math does NOT check out, but a boss feeling entitled to all of your time does.
