Game day at my house is equal parts chaos and cozy: kids weaving between legs, someone yelling about squares, and a stampede every time a hot tray hits the table. I love cooking, but the Super Bowl is the one party where I actually want to sit on the couch and watch the commercials like everyone else. So I shop smart and let Costco do the heavy lifting.
This list is my no-stress playbook. Think hot-case heroes you simply plate, deli sandwiches you slice into shareable bites, and freezer MVPs that turn golden in the air fryer while you set out dips. Everything is meant to be easy, snackable, and crowd-happy. If you want a quarter-by-quarter game plan for the oven and air fryer, I’ve got thoughts on that, too — see the end of this post!
For now, here are the grab-and-serve winners that make hosting feel fun again.

The Perfect Game Day Food Sequence
Here’s the food spread I’m running this year:
1. Kick off with cold dips and snacks — salsa, queso, Dot’s, Bhuja, etc.
2. Roll out a hot tray of something at the start of each quarter — Mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, mini tacos/flautas, firecrackers
3. Drop the meaty mains right before halftime — drums, ribs, sliders, chicken sandwiches
4. Finally, sweet stuff in the fourth quarter — beignets, cupcakes, and cookie bars
5. Don’t forget to line every sheet pan with parchment, keep one slow cooker on “warm” for queso or Buffalo dip, and stagger timers so you’re not doing tray Tetris.
I’d love to know your Costco MVPs for game day. Drop your go-to items, regional finds, or smart serving hacks in the comments!
