Every Christmas I can remember, my family would go wild with baking cookies. My mom makes 14 different kinds, my aunt makes another dozen or so, and now my sister carries on the tradition with her own baking extravaganza.
It’s great for me because I will eat literally any cookie. I guess I am just weird like that. But after my tenth chocolate chip and my twelfth oatmeal raisin, I’m looking to try something new. What recipes out there can liven up my family’s cookie tray? Are there long-lost or obscure recipes that can add new flavor to this year’s holiday festivities? I must find them! (And it just so happens I did.)

Seeing everyone’s Christmas traditions makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Now, please excuse me while I tuck into a hot cup of Wassail and contemplate what a sugarplum is.
