Sleep on emotional emails.

Draft an email (but not in the email app), get all your thoughts out, close it and go to sleep. The next day, when you have a fresh mind, read it again and ensure you haven’t inserted unnecessary emotion. 

Bonus tip: Use “thanks so much, I’ll look into it” as a default response when you get a frustrating message — then take some time to think about it.
