“My best friend had a college roommate who got engaged and wanted all the roommates to be her bridal party. Not only did she ask them to pay for the dress, shoes, hair, makeup, and matching jewelry, which added up to about $850, but she was getting married in Hawaii, and they were also expected to pay for their rooms, flight, and anything else (food, etc.).
